I photograph people who hate being photographed

Most people tell me the same thing when they sit down. They say they are not photogenic, that they never know what to do with their hands, that every picture of them looks wrong. I have heard it hundreds of times now, and it has never once been true.

What is actually happening is that nobody has given them thirty seconds to stop performing. That is most of my job. The camera is the easy part.

I shoot portraits, milestones and families, in the studio and out on location. Long enough in one city to know which wall catches the light at five in the afternoon, and which park is empty on a Tuesday.

You will get your photographs back quickly, edited properly, and you will look like yourself in them. That is the whole promise.
